There's an army of earwigs trying to eat my brain,
and a bushel of reasons why I should jump this train.
This muzzle is broken I think I'm wearing it too tight.
My vision is limited so I'm using second sight.
It's an addiction to friction, clouding control.
Submissive superstition. Oh just stick to your role
and this life will repay you with a smile and a wink.
it may not seem fair, but it doesn't matter what you think.
Oh, what a lie.
Don't ask me why.
Cause the thoughts in our heads create the life we perceive.
And from the moment we're born we choose which myth to believe.
It is the people we are verses who we'd like to be,
and there's no telling what kind of person others might see.
I know we'll find a way.
We won't let them win.
We must create friction.
I hope you like the first verse, I kept it hidden for a while.
I played a miniature piano, with that anxious white boy style.
The bridge is rusted over, there's a chance it might collapse.
You know I'd take another route now, but I've shredded all the maps
to feed my addiction to friction. Can't ever get enough.
Like a child plays with fire. When the world calls your bluff.
Some people take the high road, but that's never been my style.
It's the pain that makes me feel good, while you look on all the while.
